There is nothing like picking up a paintbrush to spend hours organizing colors into a masterpiece. If there are paint and a paintbrush available, I won't be able to stop myself! I have covered plenty of surfaces with paint: paper, canvas, walls, furniture, people, statues, shoes, clothes, ties, clay, glass. You name it, I've probably painted it or at least wanted to paint it. With my paintings I hope to capture the moments where nature, emotions, and humanity meet. The beauty in the small moments that would keep passing us by if no one ever noticed. Even unnoticed those precious moments still persist, but with an echo of the emotions we so carelessly shed upon the world. The world still persists. Flowers still grow without a carefully tended garden. Ants diligently gather food for the winter stores like clockwork. The fallen trees will continue to decay into the loving embrace of their mycelium coffin. So too will humans live, grow, get messy, love and eventually decay. I strive to explore and capture how these intense forces to be reckoned with intertwine to become one functioning soul.
